One is the Ibanez AFS75T Artcore (at AU$761), the other is the Epiphone 335 Dot (at AU$799). I've been looking around online, and the store I usually buy my gear from has two guitars in my price range that I'm quite interested in. The latter was, not surprisingly, by far the more pleasant guitar, both in playability and in sound. My experience with electrics is incredibly limited I've had a Squier Strat for about 10 years, and once, for about three months (6 years ago now), had a Guild Starfire III (or IV?) on loan from my old high school. I'm quite sure that this stems from the aesthetics of those guitars, but I also like the sound. I'm looking to buy a relatively decent electric in the near future, and I've always had a love for the semi-acoustics. The only time I've picked up an electric in that time (apart from a bass) was when I recorded some covers for a friend's birthday. I'm a sometime singer-songwriter who's been playing acoustic guitar exclusively for the last 5 years.
